<p>In August, I&rsquo;ll offer my&nbsp;<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">fused art glass pendant class</span></strong>&nbsp;on Saturday, August 7<sup>th&nbsp;</sup>from 12:00 &ndash; 3:00.&nbsp; We&rsquo;ll make 8 pendants OR 6 pendants and 2 pairs of earrings.&nbsp; Cost is&nbsp;<strong>$75</strong>&nbsp;per student and class is limited to 6 students.</p>

<p>We are a creative collective based in Farmers Branch, and we would like to invite artists to be our neighbors! Depending on your skill set and talents, we may occasionally have freelance work we can offer you, if you're interested in that kind of thing. If you're doing your own thing and just need the space, no worries- we'll stay out of your way!&nbsp; We have a furnished shared conference room with projector&nbsp;that&nbsp;would be&nbsp;free for you to use. Also, we're right across the street from a large park and next door to beautiful community gardens. There are three spaces available, ranging from 225 square feet to 450 square feet (this space is easily sharable).&nbsp;&nbsp;Parking&nbsp;lot available to you and your guests. Six awards will be presented on August 6 around 7:30PM.</p>
<p style="line-height: 17px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; margin-left: 0px;"><b style="line-height: 17px; font-weight: bold;">The Texas Artists Coalition</b>&nbsp;is a membership program designed to offer benefits for artists in the North Texas community. These benefits range from an annual juried exhibition to peer reviews to workshops, plus much more. The mission of the TAC is to support the career development of artists, whether they are emerging or established, amateur or professional. Programs of the TAC are supported by the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts.</p>

 <title><![CDATA[TVAA's Sacredness of Death show, October 2010]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://tvaa.org">TVAA gallery</a> in the Plaza of the Americas building is hosting the show "The Sacredness of Death" during the month of October and the first week of November. This show is based on El Dia de Los Muertos - the Day of the Dead celebrations.&nbsp;<br /><br />There will be 3 components to this show;&nbsp;<br />1. A photo show of gravesites, cemetaries and roadside altars.<br />2. A show of cigar box altars.<br />3. A show of 2D and 3D artwork pertaining to the Day of the Dead.<br /><br />Entry deadline for artwork for this show is August 21 and notifications of acceptance will be sent September 4. Delivery of artwork is on September 30, from 11:00-1:00pm. The show will run from October 1 - November 6, 2010. Pickup for artwork at the end of the show is November 7 during 11:00-1:00pm. This show is open to members and non members. For the purpose of this Call, submitting artists, architects and designers are encouraged to freely interpret the meaning of the word &lsquo;shift&rsquo;.&nbsp;</p>

The BECA Foundation will host the exhibition at New Studio A.D., a new multi-functional studio, exhibition and event space located in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The space allocated for the exhibition is 650 sqft (60 sq meters) with a ceiling height of 14 feet (4.3 meters) allowing the exhibition to fill a full 9,100 cubic feet (258 meters cubed) of viewing space. Of the entries submitted, three individual artists, architects, designers, duos, groups or collectives will be selected by BECA Foundation directors + advisors to receive the exhibition opportunity which will run from September 1 &ndash; 14, 2010 with an opening reception from 6 &ndash; 8pm on September 3rd, during Downtown Albuquerque&rsquo;s First Friday ArtsCrawl.
